Biography

Dr. Patton received his medical degree at Wayne State University, where he was recognized with the Distinguished Service Award and the Marjorie Edwards Award for Scholarship and Community Service. He subsequently completed neurology residency training and a neuromuscular disease fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine. He graduated from the Jones School of Business at Rice University with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Dr. Patton is a past president of the Texas Neurological Society, past president of the Harris County Medical Society-Southwest Branch, and past member of the Government Relations Committee of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN). He has been named among Texas Monthly magazine’s SuperDoctors® and Houstonia magazine’s Top Doctors.

Dr. Patton’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented on topics ranging from neuromuscular disease cases to new treatments and technologies for stroke to the effects of spirituality on end-of-life decision-making.
